San Francisco ◆ est. 2022 as a restaurant, 2026 as a brand
Caviar now.
Vodka to come.
The name, the standards and the table manners of a Michelin-recognised Russian kitchen in Noe Valley.
The restaurant's caviar service, its rye, and the hospitality of a Russian table are what the brand keeps.

Birch and Rye caviar is hand-delivered in the Bay Area today to confirm and ships chilled to confirm.
Grade, origin and tin sizes are being set with the producer; the first orders went out in October 2026.
Birch & Rye opened in 2022 as Chef Anya El-Wattar's interpretation of modern Russian cuisine through a California lens.
By the end of its first year it was in Michelin's California Guide, a James Beard semifinalist for Best New Restaurant, and its chef was Eater San Francisco's Chef of the Year. The restaurant's name carries on in the caviar and the vodka.

A Russian vodka and infusions line is in planning. Federal and California permits come before the first bottle.
